Sizing Philosophy
Bodies come in all shapes and sizes. And socks should too. What makes Wide Open different is that we challenge traditional sizing norms by designing socks not just for length, but for width – specifically foot width, ankle width, and leg width. That’s why we offer a full range of inclusive sizing for anyone who wants or needs wider-fitting socks.

Regardless of how wide your feet are, your shoe size is a good indicator of what your Wide Open Sock size will be. Use the chart below to determine the best size for you based on your shoe size. All our socks stretch up to a 4E width.
Are You Width Us?
Still unsure if our socks are wide enough? Take a minute with your measuring tape – using the measurement guide below – to obtain a more accurate reading. With your measuring tape directly against your skin, using the dotted yellow line as a guide, follow along to accurately measure your foot, ankle, and leg. Please note that if you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
